HUBUNGAN ANTARA KUALITAS TIDUR TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN PADA MAHASISWA ANGKATAN 2019 FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS HANG TUAH SURABAYA

Background : Medical students are students with one of the sleep quality level is quite irregular, that can affect a person’s level of anxiety. Therefore, medical students later must have responsibility, be alert and agile in ani action in order to be professiona; doctor wichc directyly relate to human;s health and safety.
Objective: To determine the relationship between sleep quality and anxiety in Class 2019 students of the Faculty of Medicine, Hang Tuah University, Surabaya.
Methods: This research was conducted by using analytical observational reseacrh with cross sectional study, on 137 respondents from the Class of 2019 Faculty of Medicine, Hang Tuah University, Surabaya.
Results: The results of data collection on the 2019 batch of students, namely students who experienced good sleep quality with mild anxiety levels as many as 34 students (26.4%), with severe anxiety levels as many as 1 student (1.9%). Students who experience very poor sleep quality with a mild anxiety level of 1 student (25%), with a severe anxiety level of 1 student (25%). From the results of the analysis using the non-parametric Spearman correlation test, with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05), it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and anxiety level in students.
Conclusion: This study shows that there is a relationship between sleep quality and anxiety in class
2019 students of the Faculty of Medicine, Hang Tuah University, Surabaya.
